You do not have to figure out Medicare alone.

Medicare has a lot of moving parts: Original Medicare, Medicare Advantage, prescription drug plans and Medicare Supplement plans. I am a licensed independent insurance agent. I help people sort through their options in plain language, on a call, and my help costs you nothing.

Medicare Open Enrollment is here

Medicare Open Enrollment runs October 15 to December 7, and changes you make take effect January 1. Plans can change their costs, drug lists and doctor networks from one year to the next. Your plan mails an Annual Notice of Change each fall that lists what is changing, and I can look it over with you.

Where I can help

  • Turning 65. Your first chance to sign up is a seven-month window around your 65th birthday month. I can walk you through how Original Medicare, Medicare Advantage, prescription drug coverage and Medicare Supplement plans fit together.

  • Already on Medicare. I can review your current plan with you each fall and check whether your doctors and prescriptions are still covered.

  • Medicare Supplement plans. A supplement helps with costs Original Medicare does not cover. In the six months after your Part B starts, companies generally cannot turn you down for health reasons, so that window matters.

  • Already in a Medicare Advantage plan. From January 1 to March 31, you can make one change, such as moving to a different Medicare Advantage plan or returning to Original Medicare.

How a call works

Pick a time that works for you, or call or text me. Before we talk about any plans, I will ask you to confirm which topics you want to cover. Medicare rules require that step, and it keeps the call about what you asked for. Then I compare options from the companies I represent and explain the trade-offs in plain language. If something fits, I help you enroll. If nothing fits, I will tell you.

What helps to have ready

Your Medicare card, a list of your doctors, and a list of your prescriptions with the doses. If you already have a plan, the Annual Notice of Change it mailed you is helpful too.

Common questions

Are you with Medicare? No. I am a licensed independent agent. I am not connected with Medicare or the government.

What does it cost to talk to you? Nothing. The insurance company pays me, and your premium is the same with me or without me.

Do you offer every plan? No. I represent several companies, not every plan. Medicare.gov and 1-800-MEDICARE show them all.
